Aftermarket Roof Rack

If I buy the roof siderails on GMpartsdirect, does anyone have any ballpark price on how much it would be to have them installed, be it an accessory store or a dealer? I'd like to put a bike rack up there at some point, and the siderails are the first step

Thanks

I waited an extra week to get my HHR with rails on a dealer trade, rather than have the dealer install them. They say its as good as factory, but I really doubt it.
I would go with an entire aftermarket rack.

The local dealer here wants $135 to install (plus $190 for the rails only). I'm guessing they will install it using nut-serts (nut rivets) for that price. I wouldn't trust putting my kayaks up there with those. Aftermarket will probably mount the same. You may be better off looking at a hitch and hitch rack for the bikes. You won't have to lift them over your head to transport.

I can't find the thread right now, but way back this was discussed. I think, at that time, someone indicated the holes for the OEM roof rails were square with nut-serts. So, they had to purchase a special punch for the holes.

Just be careful about how much wieght you put up there, anybody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there is a 100 lb limit on the HHR roof.
