Anybody know of a 3 guage A pillar pod?
Does anyone know of a company that makes a 3 guage pod holder that you put on your A pillar? For the hhr cuz I know they make them for cobalts.

none out there yet. believe me, there are TONS of people wanting them, but no one has stepped up to the plate to make em for us yet.

nah, i've been tryin to find a 4 gauge A-pillar pod, but no luck. i'm fiberglassing one right now to accommodate for my air ride ( pressure for each corner ) . i decided to use 1 1/2" dia. gauges instead of the usual 2", due to the limited space. still have my tweeter and access to the screw hole. so yeah, you're probly gonna have to fabricate somethin to fit for ya. good luck.

seems like a generic piece to lay over your stock a-pillar cover and bond it to it, like glass it or something. dandhcomputers, did you order one? if so, let us know the verdict when it arrives please.

unless that's a stock photo, and not of the actual product, that probably wont work. the shape isn't right at all, both the top and bottom are way off. but, with some chopping and molding, you could get something worth using. this way would be much easier than my approach of starting from scratch, if you only need 3 gauges.
|
I think I'll just wait and see if somebody makes one or not. I'm not good at the chopping and molding thing.
|
well, you got me workin on this project again. heres a couple days of playin around with some fiberglass. still gotta mold it in, and paint / wrap it ( probably gonna bed line it ).

3 Pod Piller Post Piece
OK you guy's all beat me out on this one. I was at a local car cruise tonight and I found an 06 GTO sitting in the crowd tht has the 3 pod piece. I talked to the owner and he told me he got it on Amazon.com
He had to sort of mold it into the shape of the GTO's post. He put it in very hot water and used several hose clamps on it. He told me it was only around $40 Good luck:roll::roll: |
