Anyone put wide whites on their HHR?

If you have, what size tires did you use? And where did you get them? The size that came on the car (standard 16" stock rims) do not have an equivalent from the number of wide white wall tire manufacturers I have looked at. If you used a larger size than the factory tires, what size did ya use? Any help appreciated, thanks!

Wow, this post was a while ago, and no responders...

Do we have enough members now to have any with experience with whitewalls? Opinions (I know we have those!)??

Last, when I get my moon wheels (wheels vintique), should I do any paint-matching on them, or stay with all chrome? I'm getting ready to order them.

We have real people on here with some strong opinions...nothing will hurt my feelings, I'm a big girl... come'on! How do I enhance the surfer cruiser feel without cluging it up?

I would have to see the wheels to give an opinion. The important part is what you think!!!

I don't think they have white walls, they used the discs you can put on any tire to make it look like white walls.

I have a feeling though that after 5 months this person isn't looking for an answer anymore. It was their only post. though they may be a lurker.

Okay, here are my 2 choices, although you have to imagine the blue paint where the white paint-matched area is in the second one.

I just found out that whitewalls are $200 each!!! And, with the added maintenance required, I guess that look is out for this beach cruiser.

Wide White Walls

I wanted W/W/W, but they were cost prohibitive.

I myself think the chrome alone would look good. The fact that you have the wood pattern going on I think the simpler the better. If the area that was to be painted blue was thinner then I might think it would look good painted but by the pic looks like its a substantial area. Remember this is just my opinion. Do what you will like!!
