Hmmm, considering...
I meant put a tire on the driver side rear wheel, not the trunk/hatch.

I dunno, a continental kit might look fantastic on the back, if the door can handle the extra weight... or if Mitzkity can lift the door with a tire kit bolted on it.
AW heck, go ahead and buy a hydraulic electric lift motor while you're at it. Spare no expense !

NO I don't think I can put a wheel on the hatch --- I might need a wheelchair there someday

Yep, still lookin' for info.

Thanks, mizkity for resurrecting this. I made an email reminder thingy, and it just pinged me that the thread was brought back up.

More than anything I have just had no money to do any work to my vehicle, combined with Cleveland winter to make any tinkering impossible...

But I am still wondering: what sizes did any folks use? I know of the sites, I bookmarked a couple and once I save up the cash/wear out my factory set (will probably be in a few months anyway), I will pick them up. I want to go with factory rims painted red w/ the white walls (I bought the snapon full moons- only before the manufacturer warned they won't snap onto the HHR stock factory rim, and I bought them 2 months before my HHR was delivered).

I ask b/c I would love to go w/ a bigger tire and thus a bigger white wall- but the last thing I want is rubbing. I DO plan on using the drop springs sometime in July/August, so I am just looking for what sizes folks have used and if they lowered it too. Last thing I want is to be stuck with tires that don't fit, or really thin whitewalls that don't look good... hell, I would paint the whole wall white if I could.

Silly boy --- but seriously folks, I'm a dork. I think I'm gonna spring for whitewalls. That whitewallcandy.com website ----whoa, I think they would be $265 EACH there...some gorgeous tires though.

Now I need links to "how to take care of your whitewalls" so I can start studing up ahead of time. You know, this is all BUD/HARVEY's fault -- he said go for it. I'm like the guy in the Back to the Future movies, what's his name? "NO-BO-DY calls me CHICKEN!!"

Are you going to have them before DejaVous Rendevous? I hope so, then I can see the real thing on an HHR. I can't wait to see them. In the old'n days we used Comet or such. I'm sure there s a better way now, with all the new products out since 1959, wow thats a long time ago.

See ya down the road.

Bud / Harvey
