Here's 1 good tip....

When purchasing whitewall tires, keep them wrapped and protected until you are ready to have them mounted. If storage is necessary, keep them in a cool, dry area and laid flat. Store them away from sunlight or electric motors. Remember that ozone kills rubber! Absolutely never lean the whitewall side of a tire against the black sidewall of another tire. If this occurs, permanent brown stains may appear in the whitewall.

Clean as often as necessary and on a regular basis. Use only top quality name-brand cleaners when cleaning whitewall tires.
Here's a site for some cleaner........(can't vouch for it's quality).......

white wall cleaner

more cleaner

THANKS JXS - I keep wanting to call you Dory! I bet there are some gentle cleansers out there. I was even wondering about those white sponges, those eraser thingies that we use for black marks on our floors...what are those called? Even better - some kind of coating that would keep stuff from sticking to them to begin with.

Oh Bud, YES, that's this Summer right? Deja Vu Rendevous? Refresh me on the date. By that time I'll have this all figured out.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser.......sounds like it'd be worth trying. Cheap and easy to find!

There is a White wall tire cleaner on the market.
Westley`s bleach white. Made for "Gangster W/Ws".
I`m sure who ever you purchase from, will give you the care instructions, I`m almost sure it won`t include household/under the sink stuff. Things have advanced a little over the years...
