Well dang guys I need a solution. I have my satin grille ready to send to the painters but I was waiting to get a bowtie in case I had to drill holes.

What if I painted the grille black and the rear hatch piece black, then just had the factory bowties painted bright azz silver?

Im really dissapointed.

An S-10 bowtie will work for the rear. It has to be bent a little so it's flat. Got the idea from rudeinc. There are pics in my gallery. Not 100% sure about the front.

Where can you purchase one of these S-10 bowties? Is it easy to bend to fit?

They're all over ebay. I wrapped mine in a towel, then put it in a vise. It didn't bend completely flat, but it's sticking on good with 3M exterior mounting tape.

billet bowtie

i just went to an aftermarket accessory store and purchased one for a full size chevy truck and modified it to fit. I opened the jaws of my work bench vise and then with a punch and hammer i hit the emblem in the middle to give it more of an angle. Make sure you put some rags down on the vise so not to scratch the billet. Then I just bolted it from behind. You might have to get some longer studs for your local hardware store.

Unless you want a bigger emblem, a S-10 bowtie (98-04) will work without modification on billet grilles.

If somebody want one I have one. Ten bucks plus ship to you. It is out of the package but decided not to use.
