Looks like a milk truck! Black is better, or silver, or red..........

Never think twice about what you bought. You liked it enough to buy it so enjoy it. Outside is cosmetic. If there is something you don't like order a part to change it or make something on your own! Never dis your own ride. The silver panel looks great in my opinion, just make it yours

Yes, that is a polished billet aluminum bowtie. I got it from ebay.

It is made for the front of the grille so you need to do 2 things to make it work....

1st......you need straighten the bowtie as much as possible. They come slightly curved in the center and if you don't straighten it out, it naturally will not sit flat on the beauty bar. I took and wrapped mine in a terry cloth towel and headed for the shop vise. Apply pressure slowly and evenly while wrapped in something protective and checking after each turn you should be ok.

2nd......get some good 3m double sided adhesive tape, trim of excess, mount on beauty bar......

My favorite place to look for parts is gmpartsdirect.com but their catalog is offline at the moment. If you get the part number from the dealer, it might be easier to locate one. In the interim, I located a salvage HHR on eBay that has been parted out and sent the link to the member who PM'd me. Thanks for sending him my way Sindy.
