Chrome Over Pinstripe?
I'm not really crazy about the light gray pinstripe on my Daytona Blue HHR. However, I'm afraid it will be noticable if I peal it off since there is a seal coat over it. (It was a decal added by the dealer before I purchased it) I'm wondering how a thin chrome strip would look over it instead. What do y'all think of the idea?

I think the crome and blue would go very good to gether. I say go for it.

The chrome should look great!!!

Alot of people do not like the chrome anymore. It is still about what you like. Me personally I like chrome. go for it!:thumb:

Unless they're painted on, you shouldn't have a problem removing the grey pinstripe. If you have to, go to a detailing shop and ask them to break out the "eraser": a rubber wheel that'll make short work of that pesky stripe, or sticker, without damaging the paint underneath.
The idea for chrome still stands, though. Just try not to ever put an applique over an applique. |
Chrome pinstripe looks good on Sindys but i tried pinstripe and the mold and to me the chrome mold made my 2-tone paint really jump out
and u can see I am the wild and crazyyyyyyyyy Chrome Guy |
CHROME!!!
...you ain't got a thing... if you ain't got that BLING!!!:D |
Low Tone
I'll take an up close picture in the sunshine tomorrow morning for you so you can see it better on my Casper. I applied the 1/8" chrome pin striping. I also have a strip across my windshield of the 'shade shifter' pin strip also. That stuff looks cool. I'll do a pic of that also for you! |
Sindy, as cool as your signature is, it's gotta' be updated to reflect that bad-a$$ grille mod! (But leave the Stars, Stripes, and tattooed Blonde) :D
