fading black plastics fix

anyone got a fix for fading black plastics? as in the black piece on front bumper that some of us have, or roof racks etc..
I have some fading and white marks on it, looks like wax but i dont remember getting any of it but maybe i did.

And also, does anyone have any suggestions on tire sprays? I currently use Meguairs Hot shine tire spray but it always turns my tires to a brownish colour few days later..any tips on this? are we supposed to scrub the tire at each wash before we spray? (because I just re-apply evertime and maybe thats the cause..)

thanks

Never reapply tire shine to a dirty tire. You're just mixing the shine with the road dirt.
Scrub it good and clean before applying.(just soap and water won't clean it)

i clean the rims and tires..but i dont "scrub" the tires..i guess that might bring the browning time down...and i see the browning is a natural thing the tires do

I use Westleys Bleche Wite on my tires. It will easily get rid of that brown stuff. Just don't get it on anything else like rims or painted surfaces. It is very strong stuff.

SSfan.....

I'm interested in this question as well (with the "key" to the question being treating the fading black plastic to achieve the black again). Then, of course, maintaining the black afterward.

The link you provided does not mention anything for tires. It is a polishing/buffing kit for paint.

I've tried Back to Black, and a few other with very limited (and IMO poor) success.
