Again, mine came with front mount too, dealer transfer vehicle. But I put the Chevrolet plate on all my vehicles anyway. The HHR one is sort of bulky, but maybe I'll change it out later.

None of my vehicles have front plates even though CA law says you have to have one. (Another of the many stupid laws.) Coming recently from TN and GA where no plate is required, I hate the way the ruin the lines of the front of a vehicle. Not to mention that on my Fieros they actually restrict air flow to the radiator. Rie's Sebring convertible and Miata both had front plates when I met her. I have taken both off and been riding for four years with no problems from any law enforcement agency. Once I got pulled over in my pickup for not having on a seatbelt and the guy asked me where my front plate was. I told him that it didn't have one when I bought it (which was true), and he dropped it at that.

The HHR does have the front plate mount on it and I will probably leave it on for the time being. Once I start getting mods, if it messes with the look it is outta here!
