Hid

anyone upgraded to HID light yet? im looking for suggestions on what brand to use. there is so many out there now. i found a guy here local that sells them for 110 a set but i want to make sure im getting a good set.

Check my thread about this... someone metioned about blinding oncomming traffic because of the lay out we have in the HHR's but there's a place on the web that convert the lamp to a projector or something like that. $110 is pretty good for the who kit. My shop quoted me @ $300

If you lower the lights you will not have a problem. I noticed alot of cars with HIDs from the factory don't have the projector style of light ie Nissan, Acura etc. I have them for my main and fog lights. All I did was lower them about 3/4's of a turn and I am fine.

the cars that dont have projectors and have HIDs have a special HID bulb.

i have 8000k HIDs in my car. i have passed countless cops and even was stopped behind them with no problems.

never been flashed on a backroad. the lights dont seem to put off that much of a glare.

are you using the whole kit or just the low end bulbs?
