hitch

Finally got my HHR after 11 1/2 weeks, so now have a few more questions. Has anyone installed a hitch yet? I know with all this power, even with the bigger of the two engines you won't be pulling a car trailer, loaded anyway, but I have a bike rack that fits into a hitch recepticle and would like to use it.

Last weekend, installed the Draw-Tite Hitch, from etrailer.com (115ish plus shipping), for a bike rack. Also lowered my HHR, thanks So-Cal!!!!

All went well, pictures coming soon!!!!

The hitch, was not too bad of an install, loosen muffler(rubber gromments), there are holes already in frame, one side had to be drilled out a little. Then fish, bolt & washer through frame (it comes with a guide wire to "fish"), put hitch up and tighten (with torque wrench) and re-install muffler. A big help, my father has a lift which was a life saver. The hitch, does sit up pretty high, close up by the bumper.

Later,
Mark
