Insulation
Anyone think that insulation you see between the door and fender is cheesy looking and not to mention a problem waiting to happen as it gets wet and ages?
|
not sure where you mean ?
|
When you open the front doors and look under the front fenders, looks like carpet underpadding. Not sure what could be done though.

Insulation has been located in that location on various cars for years. It won't be a problem

fender to hinge pillar insulation
the material is a felt composition.....probably there for wind noise reduction.....don't know about other areas but here in Quebec Canada with cold and snow, I find that I get icing up in the bottom cavity which makes a "crunching" sound when the door is opened which is bad for paint...I usually have to chip out:( the ice with my window scraper before opening the door all the way......
