LED dash light swap - pics
anyone done it yet? I searched and couldn't find a thing. I saw tons of dash kits and over lays, but non of the dash lights
I doing this right now, so I was looking for ways to disassemble the boost gauge. The cluster wasn't that bad. So has anyone do it yet? |
if you are talking about the leds which light up the dash. I colored mine with a sharpe, thank to RUDEINC to change the lights them selves I hope you are very good with a iron. I will try to find the thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...hlight=cluster

ballplr, you forgot to put a space before the thread to get it to come up right.

Although mine are starting to loose their color so I need to color them again. Good luck

yeah I'm pretty good with an iron. I've done a few new model Silverados like this. I'm doing the same thing with this HHR SS.

and this is completely different ! These are different, I've got voltage on both sides of the surface mounts . . . and they're small as HECK ! |

Oh, the good old days when a diode droped 0.7 VDC, period. So in your case, the anode is on the higher voltage side, and the cathode is on the lower. The difference is the drop. A little circuit magic can work wonders. A schematic would be even better. Source BSEET. |
