I bought this plate cover on ebay as well, I payed more than $10.00 although it is made of stainless steel and the emblem is etched in, not for the faint anti bowtie gang

I'm not really "anti-bowtie" just wanting to nix the beauty bar 'tie for a cleaner custom look.

I actually really like your flaming bowtie frame!

I'm not anti-bowtie either. I overloaded my HHR with bowties at one point, then I saw the light. Like SoCal said I wanted a clean look to my HHR so I stripped everything from the outside except for the flames. I am taking my HHR in a new direction. I really like your plate cover also.

AllllRighty then... Ace Ventura... Bowtie Detective!! (er... Sheriff)

Seriously, I'm surprised to find out how many people (out there) DON'T know what that "Bowtie" symbol means.

Also, couple people have asked me if my HHR is the new (longer version) PT Cruiser "Station Wagon"??

I guess, not everyone is a car enthusiast?

I find that funny also. One of the guys I work with was standing there looking at all three bowties on the back of my HHR and still asked me if it was the new PT cruiser. I wanted to pimp slap him but I work with the guy so that would have been a bad idea. I had to play nice and explain to him that it was the new Chevy HHR insead of being a smart a** and saying," Yeah, it's the new Chevy PT Cruiser you moron." and walking away.

Yeah,I was just having a little fun with the anti bowtie gang thingy as well, and I agree with the too many bowties on the vehicle, when somebody figures out a way around that beauty bar (socal) we can all eliminate it. I only plan on having one on the front and one on the back. you should see the one I have on the front of my new billet grill (from socal) I found a billet bowtie with a maltese cross engraved on it.

Here is a photo of my new billet grill with billet maltese bowtie,I know i am off topic here but I thought I would post it here anyway, the bowtie is large and was reluctant to apply it to my grill at first, but now I am liking the size of it,go figure? you can't see the maltese cross in this photo,i will post a close up soon.
