mods

Being one of the older generation I just started to wonder what you all would consiter (I know that is not spelled rignt) a mod. Is it any thing you stick on, anything you can purchases and install, or any change that is made and original to what you are doing? I will express my old guy ideas after I get some response. Sure wish I know how to use spell check on this.

To me a mod is anything different from factory. Anything you change is a mod, no matter how big or small. Besides it gets in your blood and you just can't stop

Sure it was an argument?

I agree, I think a MOD is anything that deviates from original/factory/stock.

I've often thought it weird someone would consider a window sticker a mod.

i dont know, i mean wheels, billet grille, and $2500 in stereo in mine but i dont consider them real mods. now if i shaved, suicided the rear doors, and kandy painted my car like i want then that would be a mod. anything else is just the norm.

I see a lot of items done as considered "customize" to me. Modifications to me would be more in the line of changing the "mechanical" parts. Chopping the roof- customize, installing a blower-modification. I guess there will always be the gray areas to think about. This is only another OLD guy"s view. What we called things way back when are now called something else today, so who is right or are we all wrong since it will be called something else further down the road. I have never had a car that was born, they all were made.
