Nerf Bars with running boards
 

I have the factory running boards and looking to give some character to my HHR by adding nerf bars. Anyone installed them with the running boards, does it make it to low that you are scraping them. I've only seen one set made for the HHR and it looks like they are installed without the running boards.

I am not sure you'd have anything to bolt to below the running boards, but others will know more than I do. Have you considered notching or drilling bar-diameter holes in the sides of your running boards for the nerf bars if you want that look? Sort of like some have done with lake pipes exiting through the sides of the running boards? Just a thought. God Bless, Marc
