Painted rims, Depos & HIDs

About a year ago, I blacked out everything on my Black '06. The stock rims desperately need to be painted to match. So, I'm about to do that and replace my stock headlights with Depos. I've looked over all the threads i could find concerning the HID conversion, but I'm still a little unsure whether I should go with the 55w or 35w and also about whether to go with Hi/Lo or just Lo beams. Any advice on the HIDs and/or painting the rims would be greatly appreciated.

Most folk will say 35w, but I did a 55w on my bike and love it. You may need both high and low in your state to pass inspection. Another issue is that halogen bulbs produce a different beam pattern than an hid bulb. The "proper" way would be to install a projector designed for the hid. I'm sure there are lots of people who just swapped bulbs with no discernible problems.

Powder coat the wheels, it'll last longer.

You have to make your own. The car has been in production for over 5 years... and still nothing.

Seems like we're out of luck on manufactured projector HLs.
