GM, generally ADDS the side lights to vehicles sold in Europe and Asia (unless the car is specifically manufacturered for that respective market. Then it is part of the assembly process).

They also do a few other "things"....I remember that a label was posted at one time, indicating the vehicle was for the "export" market and did not meet the emission requirements of the US. Also, for Japan and some other Asian markets, the exhaust would exit under the rear bumper, for those vehicles that used to "dump" behind the rear wheel (I was told because of the narrow streets.......didn't want the exhause blowing into shops).

But alas, times change. It could be much different now.

More like gray-market import...I don't think HHR meets European pedestrian protection standards, so you either have to gray-market them or only sell 1,000 units each year.

the orange fender lights

Yes is obligatory here in Sweden and should be on before the inspection to new registration, the difference is that the imported car in sweden doesn´t have the law 3 years guaranty för new cars that general agent sale here and the exaust gases also doesn´t cover the factory garanty.

looks good. good mounting positon. but for a cleaner look and not to take away from the lines of the HHR i would use the side marker lights from the new 2008 Malibu.

I believ he's asking for comments on his car waxing, not the fender lights.
