Question for those with the Wheel Center Cap Overlays

How well do they hold up over time? I would like to get a set for mine but wonder how long they last. Thanks Jason

it seems like when you wash your car they might come loose, but on the other hand, it is the same vinyl that people use to do graphics on their cars, etc, an those stay on.

I have been thinking about cutting some of my own for it one of these day when I stop being so lazy. I have vinyl on my bowties on the grill and back, over a year, and they look good still. Through snow, wind, rain, heat, sun, you name it.

We do not have them but from the g2g's we've attended It seemed the Bow-Tie Vinyl Overlay's outside corners seemed to peel back over time! You could check our gallery: https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/bro...id=8429&page=2 and see that we Polished the Gold Bow-Tie away so the cap is all one color!

Ive had vinyl overlays on both sets of wheels - 19 months so far and no problems.

It depends on the type of vinyl you buy, cast or calandered. I bought some on ebay and it turned out to be the cheaper calandered stuff at a premium price. You should check before buying it.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered them thru GrafxWerks. I was getting the SS Overlays and went ahead and added them to the order. I had new front and rear bowties painted bright red at a bodyshop and I'm doing red overlays on the SS badges and wanted red bowties on the center caps also. Hopefully they work out if not I may see about masking it off and have them painted.

Don't Forget

Once you install them, take some clear coat fingernail polish and run a bead around the edges of the decals. It will help adhere them to your vehicle.
