Okay... I was looking at the back of my H.. Thinking about how to do a sound system in the floor. If I did that, I would take out the utility tray, which means I wouldn't need the anchors for it anymore on the sides of the walls... What would be the best process to "cut and fill" those anchors off the sides? I was thinking of filling the holes from cutting the anchors out and filling the subwoofer hole...

My bro-in-law tried to describe "plastic welding" to me a while back, but I still don't understand completely... I've never really worked with modifying plastic this extensively besides melting it

The main problem I see with what your plan would be matching the texture. Even if you get some of the same type of plastic, the seems wouldn't match.

I don't know how plastic welding is done either.

 

I'm not too worried about the texture as I plan on either putting some type of fabric over it, or sanding and painting...

Maybe fiberglassing would work... it's not too hard to do from what I understand...

Money.... Sound system... I'm hoping that if I get all of the stuff, I can have the enclosure built and then assemble, paint, and stuff in one weekend. I'm planning this system out good, though.. I want it sort of like a bandpass with plexiglass covering the subs in the floor, a couple led lights.. Hopefully I can follow through with the plans and get it looking the way I want instead of just a box in the back...

I'm gonna do some measuring and stuff, then I'll have some Cad drawings of what I want it to look like...
