It also looks good with the color of the grille. Did you have to mask it, or remove it for painting?

I masked both front and rear bow ties off and the surrounding areas, didn't want any over spray on my baby.

I laid a huge plastic drop cloth from the local paint dept over the entire HHR like a "condom" before masking off the bowties for painting.
