I inquired about Magic Touch door handles a few months back. They said they were looking into making an HHR kit:

A cool alternative!

I saw those Bob but frankly, at $400 per door, it's cheaper to do the real shave! Also, the Magic Touch handles loo kinda goofy, and there's nothing quite like looking at a purely shaved and real naked door...

I am doing the shaved door handles whith door poppers once I get ready to do the paint. I am also taking the rear beauty bar off and making a spot just big enough for the plate. Well that takes money lol. I know the stuff is thin but its doable.

I normally try to avoid picking on 06, but the devil is making me do this. He probably hasn't even shaved his face...no less an HHR Road Ripper.

Ck out a company called Magic Touch www.lafranceautoworks.com and see how cool & easy to have the shave look at about 1/3 the cost & especially not to deal with the headache of your car being in the body shop to be paint after the shaving. This company has a very cool & concept idea. Met them last year at SEMA.

Sorta defeats the purpose for me. It is not about getting rid of the door handles. It is about having a totally smooth side on the vehicle.

Since I started this thread I have installed the Moon Eyes and the satin finish on the door handles matches too well to get rid of anyway.

i shaved the rear wiper but the way the doors kinda curve in under the handle would take alot more bondo than id be comfortable with and i agree the metal is way to thin to weld on
