AT shifter knob removal
 

Hey folks, just finished reading on here how to remove shifter knob. Well i shifted into neutral and tried my best to push the chrome sleeve down to access the retainer screw but not happening! So i tried to lift the knob thinking i may have read the instructions rong. NOT. Im ready for another solution. Was I suppose to use a screwdriver to pry it down or.....? Didnt want to break it.

Rotate the chrome piece under the shift knob 90 degrees, then push it down.
Loosen the 2 or 2.5 mm hex screw and lift the knob off.
Shifting to neutral just gives you more room to work.
