The shifter I have is just a shorter shifter that's it. It is about an 1'' shorter it will not fit the stock shifter boot it is not a short throw shifter. The stock shift knob will slide over the shifter but the boot will not fit over the lock in pieces. but I would try this shifter http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MK1-S...35697107QQrdZ1 yes it is for a cobalt but i would say it would fit

I also have a new shifter boot. After market

maybe if its only a inch shorter than stock its a apperance item vs a short throw that would be performance lol
