SpiderLite "How-to" Pics Up...

I finally had time to get the SpiderLite pics up. I decided to make a "How-To" section on our site and host all the install pics right there for our customers. SpiderLites will be our first official on-site how-to, but I'll be adding others soon. The "How-To: section should eventually be a great resource for all HHR owners. Here's the first one:

SpiderLite Install

Enjoy!

Great job on the pics and How To, SoCal. It's too bad they don't make those for the reverse lights so that all 4 can have the same design, or do they have them for the reverse lights as well?

Hey Mike
Do you have a picture of the whole backend showing one side with a one side without the spider lights?

Good question... No doubt those tail lights would look sharp as a set!

LEDs are not bright enough to act as reverse lights.

If they're bright enough for normal tail and brake lights, why wouldn't they be bright enough for reverse lights? Does the reverse lights have to have a certain standard illumination?

LEDS are not as bright, look at SoCal's LED comparison. Even if you put the spider lights in they wont be as bright as the standard incandescents. Do an internet search and I bet you won't be able to find one manufacturer on LED back up lights. Even if you put a ton of them together it is not going to shine bright enough to illuminate behind you so you can safely back up at night.

Captain is right - although the SpiderLites are twice as bright as most of the LED taillights we tested. Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of the Spider's side-by-side with the stock bulbs - since I already had LED taillights installed. Trust me - with these, you won't be disappointed!

Regarding the reverse lights:

a) the reverse lights are rarely on when driving
b) the reverse lenses are so fluted you would barely see the spiderlites

I don't think they would be missed! (and you couldn't see the bulbs when off)

Thanks for the positive comments, everyone!

They may not work with the HHR, but they claim to be LED Backup Lights! So, what do I win Capt? I found this site in about 10 seconds...
