Splash guard installation

Hi everyone. OK I have to ask, How many folks, when installing their own splash guards, did not use the additional screw? I do not want to go drilling a hole in my rear quarter even if it is hidden because should I decide never to use splash guards again by drilling that hole it is just one more area for cancer to start. Will just using the three screws cause them to vibrate loose? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. John

I drilled the hole and added the screw. It stiffens up the mud flap and fender connection. In the winter the flaps really take a beating with snow and ice. You'll be happy with the extra screw installed in the long run.

Installed the screws. You don't have to worry about rust where the screw goes neither the front or the back screw into sheet metal. The fronts screw into the bottom of the plastic rocker panel and the rears screw into the bottom of the plastic bumper cover. No rust issues at all.

Good point about the screw going into the plastic parts. I will have to go and put that screw in. LOL LOL Thanks.
