Spray Painted my grill How do I protect it

I made a three bar grille but i knicked it up doing it so I decided to paint it I sanded it up pretty good and rough then I gave it coats of primer then 2 coats of flat black paint then 2 coats of red paint on the bowtie and 4 coats of clear coat for protection but since its the grille i know it can take a beating is there anything else I can do to protect it from chipping and stuff like that?

grille

Just a suggestion try sending a e-mail to "UMA" (Todd) and asking him, since he seems to have the touch for customizing grilles.

Never let anyone drive in front of you, It works for me ! :D
I would say keep an extra can of each, and you can always fix little stuff with an artist brush.
Lets see some pics.

There is a REALLY SPECIAL clear coat that is available. But is is quite expensive in the rattle can. I've seen tests done with this stuff, using a nickle and steel wool, in an attempt to scratch it. Barely even marks the surface. If I can locate the info, I'll post it (I do remember it comes from a company in the LA area). It was around $30-40/can.

Is it by the same people that make killer chrome?

If it holds up that well, I would say 30-40 bucks would be worth it.....:thumb:
