Cool SS Bumper covers

I am a new owner of an LS, will an SS bumper cover change out with the LS bumper cover?

wouldy,
First off, WELCOME ABOARD!!!
Yea, it would, but there'd be a LOT of issues...
1. The fog lamps are different.
2. Your existing grill will be too short.
3. Need to buy a different impact absorber.
In all, there is eight GM parts you would have to buy, to a tune of $1486.44, this is without the SS grille.

What I did is to shave off the 'humps' on my LT1. Now, that's not an easy thing to do...
You have to practice plastic welding on another bumper, find another bumper a with similar contour and cut patches to fit where the 'humps' were. I also welded up the black insert in the lower center of the bumper. (Never did figure out why they did that.) I was working with an experienced body man, and it took us the better part of three days to get it 'just right', ready for paint. We both work for free, so what the he11!

I really like the end result; the LT1 bumper is not as 'square' as the SS, looks a LOT better to me. No 'cowcatcher' appearance.

I took a lot of picts of the entire project, I'll do a post when I finally get it painted.

I can PM you a copy of the two pages of the price printout if you want...

Or you could just cut the bumps off the bumpers and fill it in. Turn your grill into a single bar grill and paint match it. Buy some metal mesh, paint it black and insert it in the lower intake. Buy some SS badges and wallah.... You kind of have an SS
