I know. I was just in a mood last night. Now I'm much better. :)

corvette ss

The first Chevrolet "SS" was a 1957 race car built by Zora Arkus-Duntov. It ran in Sebring but retired after 23 laps due to mechanical problems. It weighed 1850 lbs. and had 307 H.P. I think this 54 year old race car would beat a modern day HHR SS. But, it was made of magnesium, so I hope nobody lit a match near it!

I could have bought an SS if I really wanted one.

The ONLY reason i'd put "SS" HHR bumpers on my Panel would be to eliminate those "bumper guards" the LS/LT's have moulded in. And the SS version would save the work in cutting them out, cutting up pieces to fit in place, heat welding them in, smoothing that out then priming and painting, they would be a paint and bolt on part.

I like my fog lights better than the SS bumpers and I like the bumper being Flat across the front instead of the dip the SS one takes for it's grille, I Like a Chrome grille much better than a painted one any day. Do they offer a Chrome SS grille even?

I just don't like the 4 squared bumper humps.

And now that places like Certi Fit are now selling aftermarket bumpers and the prices are very reasonable, I may just buy a set next year and customize them to my liking at a huge Savings over the SS bumpers that arent available aftermarket yet, if ever, And really arent what I want anyways.

Smoothing the 4 humps is just more work and time consuming, but would give me the Exact look I do want. So most likely that is the route I will go.

I was just bustin lunchboxs chops is all for being a Blabbermouth.

In a Fun spirited way with the old Honeymooners clip.

Theyd have to Drop that Kit price by over Half for me to buy it.

~I'd rather use that $870.00 Plus the extra shipping costs(they are not even listing the actual cost of the shipping on ebay, it just says "varies"), towards a Blower for my 2.4.

And within a week of this post, I am on my way towards setting up a Blower (Supercharger) on my 2.4. I am securing other needed parts to make up my own "kit" Pump, #39 Injectors, and I may have a Heat Exchanger lined up, that are not pictured.

I can live with the "Humps" on my bumpers for awhile longer.

does anyone know where else this kit is offered..i see the price keeps going higher compared when first found. On Ebay its almost 1000 ! way to much for a front end conversion, most likely can do it for half the price
