Arrow SS Grill on a Non-SS?? YES!

Story goes, I found out this SS grille on ebay and low and behold it was painted white already! So, not knowing it wouldn't fit, (The buyer didn't mention this) I went ahead and bought it. Only to do my research later to find out it wouldn't fly. After I did a mockup, I decided - what tha hells, and started cutting. I had to remove a little styrofoam too, but it fits right in! I'm pretty happy with how it came out!

Sounds like you might have bought the grill another member here bought from a dealer, found out it wouldn't work and then sold it. But, I've been wrong before.

Nice job of making it work though.

Nice. So what did it take to install the grille? I might do the same on my grey HHR.

Great job on making that fit, Tony! Looks sweet! You've just helped others here to take the plunge too, I'm sure. The member that sold that is probably kicking himself after seeing your pics...

crazy you cut into the bumper?! I was thinking of getting one to but cutting the grill to make it fit. When you pop the hood can you still reach the latch to open it easily?

It looks really good though.

It just took some cutting of the bumper and foam.

Yeah I know, the wife was freaking.. it was a 2 beer job though. I figured if I botched it up enough I'd have to just get the SS fascia.

And that's the catch, you need a bar, pen or screwdriver to move the latch so the hood opens - minor trade off.
