Swapping 3rd Brakelight with LED Strip
 

Can it be done? I saw a fixed up Trailblazer a few months back and he had a nice LED strip in place of his factory 3rd brakelight...looked really good and looked factory. I know I read somewhere that if you put LED bulbs in that it would effect your cruise control or something. I'm just trying to figure out if running a resistor would eliminate the problem. Right now I've got my third brakelight completely blacked out since I'm running IPCW tails.

If you have cruise control chances are it will not work with LED's in the third brake light. Ask me how I know.;)

You need to somehow trick the computer into thinking the resistance is the same as the lights that it came with.

If the only thing I'll lose is my cruise control it may be worth a shot. I've used my cruise maybe a half-dozen times.
