Hey all...
I thought Trenz was going away???? Like going bye-bye, being phased out? If I'm not mistaken, Trenz is operated by Lund.
Just food for thought... and I could be mistaken... but thought this was common knowledge.

BTW- it DOES look good (IMO)... lowers will make it look sweet!

EDIT: Sorry, my Lund Rep mis-informed me. I found out today that Lund is dissolving the "Trenz" name, but will continue to make the grilles (supposedly), under the Lund name.

Sorry for the misunderstanding!

We have been a Trenz dealer for several years and have seen the company go through a lot of changes. Trenz was purchased by Lund from another holding company a couple years ago. Since Lund took over there have been several changes and products have been discontinued (interior items and other accessories with low production numbers). It appears as if Lund may be phasing out the Trenz NAME (they are making some grilles under the Lund name now instead), however we have NO information that the entire line of grilles is going to be discontinued. It's a rumor, but I don't think it's true. The Trenz line is still being made in Bakersfield, CA where Trenz has been since the beginning. We can still get the HHR grilles, and all of the Trenz grilles listed on our site.

Heck - I don't care who makes it, as long as it:
1) Is good quality
2) Looks good
3) Gives you what you pay for, regardless of price
Price has never thrown me off much - i.e., if it cost more and you get your money's worth - go for it! Common sense tells you that a $150 grille is going to be better than a $50 grille. I know that some people will say "Well I once bought this (insert product here) that cost me (insert high price here) and it only lasted me (insert short time period here)." That's true, but what I have PERSONALLY found is that good quality stuff usually costs a few bucks more, but I don't mind spending it because most better quality stuff I have purchased does tend to look better and last longer.

Although I like that grill, I'm in the minority that actually prefers the stock HHR Grill. The look of the stock grill was one of the reasons I bought my HHR. I will be looking for a screen to place in the lower section after reading what happened to Mike.

BTW...SoCal is getting hit with a heatwave this weekend. Time to stay indoors...
