i was just wondering i know a few on here have two tone paint and im considering this mod just curious on how much you all spent on the paint job i have the sport red and want to do the top have black metalic with a diff color pin stripe also was wondering i know alot of people ask for this but can i get a photo shop of blk on top of sport red so i have some idea thank you all very much for any help....chris

Black over sport red. Sounds interesting. Can't wait to see the results. Are you just doing a standard two tone paint job or are you going to add any kind of design to the paint job?

 

I've been thinking about two-tone paint on my sport red HHR as well. Only I'd like to keep the sport red, and do a cream on the sides.

You're probably not going to find an average price. I don't believe there to be any type of standard when it comes to paint. What one place charges you $2000 for some other will charge $4000 for. At least that's the way it is around here. A lot of it has to do with the popularity of the shop and demand. There is one shop around here that will charge you $1000 to paint your car but I wouldn't trust them because I have never heard anything about their work and I only know the price because it's on a big sign outside their shop. On the other hand I had a buddy go to one of the most popular shops in the area and they quoted him like five or six grand just to paint his S-10 basic white.

 

deb not so low on the black i want it to go to the body line above the handles ......someone asked about a paint sceme like design ..nope just want the two tonewith pin stripe what color would you do for the stripe with those two shades

 

For pinstriping, I would do some kind of chrome type pinstriping or possibly even a vette red pinstripe, or could even find a sport red, or maroon pinstripe if you plan on pinstriping. A dark silver metallic may look good as well.

 

what about lime green it will be painted
