Did my tail lights last weekend, custom cut lightning bolts, were removed after tinting, before clear coating , They look even better in person .
The stuff easy to work with, And the tail lights were super easy to remove

I'm seeing more and more nite shades at the local stores, after not seeing it for a long time.

Nice! It is cool that since you did it yourself, nobody else will have them. Well done!

Did you use a clear coat and if so what kind? I used dupli color acrylic enamel clear coating and I must say I didn't really like the looks and plan on stripping and re doing it. The base of vht nite shades looked pretty slick without any kind of coating. Would they last without the clear coating?

BTW the lightning bolts look fantastic!!

ugh makes me want to tint mine, really really bad. Can't do black LED ones with my budget right now, so this would do it....

any way to remove it if you ever want to go back to stock, or is it pretty much done for good?

My guess is since you have to sand down the lens to do this, they would be pretty shot

I would say yes....I tinted mine and had some runs so I sanded it all back off and they were pretty much back to normal....would needed some 2000 grit sanding and then some clear but they should be fine. This is how you restore headlights too, sand 400, 800, 1000, 2000 and then clear it...... just my thoughts from personal experience though....

Good job on your tails. maybe i will grow a pair and do mine. I did the side markers and bowties on mine. Alittle scared to do taillights cause NE Troopers always like to ticket for that stuff. The side markers really make the car look clean from the side view. No more distracting red or orange color to draw the eye!! Same with bowties.... eye does not draw straight to gold anymore!! I used a duplicolor clear and polished them. No problem with clear over them and looks better with the clear. Don't use IPA to clean area before clear. made that mistake and it took off the Night Shade paint :( Reshot and looked great.

Has anyone found and easy way to pop out those little rear reflectors without taking bumper off?

anyone doing this use lots of clear. mine started chipping off and had to redo them.
