Washing the underside
 

Hey,

I just wanted to ask if anyone cleans/washes the underside of their HHR. Have you done this and how often do you do it?

I know that if you use automatic car washes they usually have some jets that are directed at the underside but for those that do not go through automatic car washes do you clean off the underside free of dirt and mud and stuff like that?

I go to automatic car wash because I live at apartment and I can't wash my car here. It washes underside. Only problem I think with underside washing is that it sprays the muck and water up into engine comparent. The other week, guy at work went to check my HHR out so i popped my hood and it was filthy and i just washed it day before. Maybe it was just isolated instance but it looks like it is eating away the header paint in spots.
