Wheel width

Just wondering what width of a wheel should be put on the HHR? I'm looking at jumping up to 18 or 19 but I was wondering if there was a certian width I should look for too. I know the factory comes with either a 6.5 or 7 inch wide and you can probably make this up with some back spacing, just wondered what some of you are running.

18 x 7.5 with no issues, but be sure you try and keep the factory offset of 42mm

Sorry, my bad, I forgot to say it is lowered too. I have the second gen goldlines. Is this still no issue or do I just need to roll the fender lip?

I have the Eibach Pro kit with the 1.6" drop and no rubs loaded or not. Its all about the offset I think.

I've got 18x8s all the way around with no issues. Also lowered. Probably just a tad more than the GoldLines with my coilovers. I've put about 300 miles on them so far in lots if different conditions and no scrubbing or anything.

Oh yeah, 38mm offset. I love the way our wheels sit out a little and fill up the wheelwell.

7.5 to 8" widths will work fine with the 42mm offset.

Thanks guys, got a few ideas of what I want now, nixed the 19 though. They seem harder to come by and probably tires will be as well. Maybe 20 :thumb:

I'm running 17x7 w/ 225/50/17 and w/ the eibach kit it would rub in the rear over a good bump. I put the stock back on the rear because I didn't care for the harsh ride.:(
