window deflectors

which is the more popular choice for use, the ones that apply outside the window, or the ones that actually go inside the window channel?

thinking of getting a set for my hhr.

ufvj217, I would recommend the ones that go INSIDE. I had a set of them on my HHR when I got it from the Dealership, they came off easy enough because I don't like them, however, they have a good strong hold when applied right. Had the ones that apply outside the window on my old silverado, and I was trying to peel the tape off from it til the day I sold it.

Way cleaner looking-that's why I got the in-channel ones myself.

I just bought a set of weathertechs a couple of weeks ago. Standing in the center of the car 25 feet away, from both the front and back, you can't even tell that they are even on. These actually blend in with the body lines pretty good. A little more costly but imo they were worth the extra coin.

Those looks exactly like the ones we have. In my opinion, they are one of the best mods you can do for any vehicle. Ours are not that brand but they look identical. Ours are EGR. Been on for a few years now and still look like the day we bought them. No problems at all. I think they were around $50 for the set.

I think they look a little different in back.... the Weathertech go all the way back over the stationary window and the EGR only cover the roll down part of the window....... Similar look though.

I never really liked the look of these things but have a used set of the back ones coming in so will try them out. (They are the EGR brand) If I don't like, it's no loss. I'm hoping I will be able to roll the back windows down a hair without the wind noise...... We'll see. If I really like them EGR sells just the fronts (for panels) so I could match up a set.

I have to give a vote to the Ventshades that mount on the outside with 3M tape. They look fuller, and blend in nice, especially with black HHRs. Have Ventshades on my Lumina since 99 and they're still holding up.
