Yeah I was thinking of baffles too, even if it doesnt do much for sound it would at least keep the water off them. When I first took the stock speakers out, I was surprised to see standing water on top of the plastic shield above the wire terminals, probably the reason its there.

 

my 8" wont fit through the stock cutout in the door becuase the magnet is wide, but a normal 8 should fit. depth wise, it looks like you have about 5 3/8" from the very back of the door inside, to the inside of the door panel.

i think itll fit, especially one of those Neo 8's on parts express

I think I'm going to move the tweeter to the left just a tad, because it looks (might just be the angle) but it looks like its closer to the 8" than the 6's, so i want to make sure its centered before i glass it.

 

You're gonna need new door hinges......
