2009 Chevrolet HHR 2.2L Radio Non Pioneer

Does anyone have a image/picture of the rear/back of the stock radio? I'm trying to figure out if the new android head unit I want is compatible.

Thanks

You will need adapters, if you want to retain the chimes (turn signal, key in, door open) you will need a GMlan adapter.
Check at crutchfield.com for free information and possible sales. You can get part numbers and shop elsewhere, like eBay.

The link you provide seems to indicate the don't have adapters for GM.

Thanks for your reply donbrew. I know I'll need adapters but first I need to know if it will work at all. Teyes asked for the rear image of the radio to check the plugs/connectors.

I wouldn't deal with them if they don't know. I bet crutchfield has the same HU or at, the very least the adapters.

If you absolutely need to deal with them, note that there is no "switched" input, that is supplied by the GMlan adapter.:

Thanks for the info donbrew! Very much appreciated! I am dealing with the manufacturer of the head unit. They were honest enough to come out and say they don't know if it would work. They work/fit for a lot of other Chevys, but not the HHR specifically. The CC3 head until has all the features and add-ons that I want so I'm going to try to make it work. I am going to buy the HHR install guide from Crutchfield.

Thanks again

And you are aware that they are in Australia?

Strange in that link there’s no mention of a GM set up at all, Cobalt , G5 would be very close to HHR

Because GM pulled out of Australia. They closed the Holden factory.
You don't have to buy install manuals. Crutchfield has them online.
If you get the correct adapters all you need to know is how to plug thing in.

Yes I am. I think it's one of the few non Chinese head units out there.

Hi Oldblue,

They do have a lot of Chevy's with a direct fit. The website's information architecture could use a lot of work. After some digging I did find the Chevy info but the HHR wasn't on the list.
