Are 4 door speakers standard in all HHR's?

Curious, because like many others, my front passenger speaker is going in and out intermittently. I started playing with the controls, found the front/rear fade, and when I move it all the way to rear there is nothing, making me wonder if there are even any speakers in the rear doors or are they just both bad?
Thanks!

I have this same issue. I had working speakers when I first got mine, but the rear ones are both dead (non-pioneer non-LT2 package) and the front passenger is intermittent as well.

Yes there should be speakers in all 4 doors, plus the tweeters up by the windshield. Sounds like you have a problem there.

I hope that you are not assuming that you have the non Pioneer system based on your cars trim level.

Any trim level can have the Pioneer system in it. I have a 2007 LS that came with the Pioneer system.

07azhhr, it was my understanding, that unless custom ordered, it was the 2LT HHR that had the Pioneer Stereo STOCK... My Shadow Edition has 6 disc changer AM/FM NO XM...

I can't believe that the phrase "CD's are sooo yesterday" just went through my mind.

I am assuming here that by custom ordered you are meaning if you were to have a dealer order you an HHR that they did not have on their lot. If so then yes you would have the OPTION of the Pioneer or not for the trims below the 2lt and SS. But if you picked one that was on the lot it would have whatever options were installed when delivered to that dealership. That sometimes means it won't have it but it could also mean that it does have it. Dealers don't just request base optioned models when they order in cars. They want a variety with different options to appeal to many customers.

So while I do not know if you have the Pioneer or not I do know that my LS came with it as did my friends 1LT. Neither of us are the first owners though.

A quick check for you to do to be 100% sure either way is to look in the hatch area at the left side interior panel where the stock sub would be. It will say Pioneer and you will be able to see the grill of the sub behind it if you have it. Or it will not say Pioneer and there will be no sub if you don't.
