9" and 7" Headrest Monitors with wireless headsets, 28 built in video games with game controllers.
7" indash Pioneer P4200 touch screen Headunit. Attachment 26989 Attachment 26990 Attachment 26991 Attachment 26992 Attachment 26993 Panel with rear seat and seat belts added. You can find those headrests on ebay. Gone up since I bought mine, but still a very good deal. Screens are Excellent. these have No DVD player built in, but you can get some with them. You can also get a DVD car unit that fits under a seat in you want as well. My headunit plays the DVD's. One kid can watch a movie, one can be playing a game and I can listen to the radio, or miix it up anyway you like. Pics from when I was installing. Attachment 26994 Attachment 26995 Attachment 26996 Black Leather Seats and Black Suede Headliner were added after these pics were taken. I need to take some fresh pics this Spring. Nice! how much and where did you get the 9" built in units?
Do they match the black leather? |
This is the sellers ebay store.
http://stores.ebay.com/AUDIOSAVINGS-...ICS-SUPERSTORE I don't see him listing them, but do a search. If he don't Contact him, he has a website and a Brick store in NY I believe. Otherwise search TVIEW Headrest . There are all kinds with or withour DVD players built in or with or without the games, or wireless headsets. Just gotta decide what configuration suits You and your Family BEST. This seller had the best warranty and prices at the time Putter and I bought ours. Oh heres a Link to the webnsite. Call if they don't have them, maybe just out, or will get more? http://www.audiosavings.com/index.aspx Screens are really NICE on the TViews, fully adjustable like a TV settings wise. They Match as good as any other brand out there. ;) DON'T buy a set you have to install in your own OEM headrests. It's a PITA to do, then if you crash or sell your HHR, you can just Swap the untouched OEM's right back in place. :thumb: |

I'm installing some window tint (skulls) on my back window right now.
But I grabbed my camera and snapped this. Matches the Leather pretty well i'd say. :thumb: Attachment 26988 :skull: |
Here is what I did...

Any problems with dash depth? I've been looking to add a DVD/GPS/BT as my first upgrade, but worry about the available room back there. Plan on taking a nice road trip, but the Wife's map reading is terrible, she gets lost turning around in the shower.

You'll be Cutting some of the dash out. Easy, it's all Plastic.
I used an air body saw. You can get them really cheap at harbor freight, I think on sale recently was $19.99. Mine is a Snap On, but I used it Daily when I was a Body and Fender Man, the HF one will do Fine for general home use. :thumb: |
Thanks, haven't torn into a car stereo or dash since the mid seventies when a buddy and I had a tool truck that we drove around installing them, freelancing from small stores without install departments.
Things have advanced a bit since then, and before I try and twist and turn my frame ito an area that was a lot easier in my twenties, thought it would be best to see what I'm up against. |
