anyone know how to take the antenna off?

anyone know how to take the antenna off?

do i have to drop the headliner down? i want to take it off when i paint but only if i dont have to tear the interior apart

The mast just screws off, but I guess you are wanting the base off also?

It has a slide clip and you have to lower the headliner down to get to it.

if anyone cares it is not a clip it is a 10mm bolt.

yeah, didn't see this post previously, or i woulda told ya. you need tamper proof star bits to remove the visors. or you can just break off the nubs inside the screw heads. i shoulda taken care of my antenna when i wrapped the headliner. i never listen to the radio.

i couldnt get it off cause i didnt want to pull the headliner out so i used a grinder with a cutoff wheel. way easier, now i gottapull the door panels off to take the mirrors out.

uh oh... shavin them too? who needs mirrors anyway? removin em just in prep for the paint, or you got somethin else in mind? i got my door panels out right now, gettin ready for some fiberglass. removal is rather easy, and i think there's a how to. good luck
