Basic stereo wiring harness info needed please!

I am sorry if this is covered somewhere here, but i have tried to find the answer in search but came up with none so far. I have a 2008 ls panel l would like to upgrade the stock head unit to a double din, and i don't want the chimes or onstar so i don't want the lan 3 adapter. I just need the wiring harness from stock pins to solder on the new aftermarket head unit connector. I don't want to have to cut off the factory plug incase i need to reinstall the stock HU at some point. If someone could let me know what harness could do this i would really appreciate it.

Thanks
Jeff

If you are going to a double din unit it would be in your best interest to buy the expensive harness. This will give you speed sense, reverse output, Rapp retention, and a few other goodies...if you get the axxcess one the steering wheel controls integrator comes pre wired you just have buy the unit. I have an LS Panel and did the steering wheel swap (one of the easiest mods almost a must do) do a search for it. I picked my whole wheel up for 100 dollars leather wrapped.

Thanks for your responses, and you are right, just do it right and spend a view extra dollars the first go around! Again thanks for helping out a HHR Newbie. Have had Toyota all my life and haven't had to deal with on star or anything other then a plug and play adapter. So i take it that the GMOS-Lan-03 is the correct adapter?

Axxess GMOS-LAN-034
