A bit of an OEM connectivity upgrade is possible. The "Mylink" package included a USM port instead of you 3.5mm input jack, for improved functionality, and you can plug a thumb drive right in. The owners manual explains its use in detail. My 2011 has it, but I think it's uncommon, so you might not find a lot of used radios with it.

I any even, you can find a variety of bluetooth dongles that will plug into the jack or USB port if you don't want your phone tethered to the radio. They come in a broad range of prices.
