Excessive audio (MS8 Imprint)

Just curious as to if any one on here uses one of Alpines Imprint Modules or MS8? I currently have an Imprint module but want to get others opinions on many other options. No real question here, just curious as to what everyone has. Also anyone using really high end componets, decks, speakers, amps, processors, ect....

What are your thoughts, preferences, expieriences????

Pictures of installs would be cool, not repetitive stuff but cool ideas tips and tricks..

Have you read this???

Also, if you use the search feature or click on the "Audio and Video" link located in the Forum Jump (upper left corner) you can pick and choose.

From what I have read about the two units you have mentioned MS8 and the PXA-H100 (?) Imprint . The two have an extremely vast difference .
The alpine works with the Alpine AI Net head units only ? From what I am reading that is your only choice . The JBL unit is all in one , speaker level inputs and built in amp . Seems all you would need is the center channel speaker and you are into a full on 7.1 system . Retails for 800.00 .
The imprint would require amps ( correct me if I am wrong ) or a single 5 channel to come close to what you would get with the JBL .
But if the JBL fails to deliver the head room ( 18 watts x 8-channels @ 4-ohms ) you desire , you are kinda married to that wattage .Unless you desire to add amps off of the pre amp out puts , then you have that choice .
With the JBL unit , you retain the factory head unit .
There are so many choices to make when deciding on a processor it can be an issue making the right choice to fit your system
It is something we are looking at right now, and I think it will be an all in one unit .
For us , .. We will purchase a head unit with built in processor .... Only one choice though , Pioneer...

I currently am running a MS-8 in my HHR. Two words can be used to describe it, "Love it!" In my setup I'm running 4" Midrange and tweets in the A-Pillar and 8" Midbass in the doors. I am not using the internal amplifier, I am running 2 4ch and for my source unit, I'm using a Alpine 9887.

I truly believe the MS-8 is one of the best DSP's out on the market right now. For what it does in a matter of minutes can not be done with any of the competitors models. Just the basic tune gives you a strong center image without needing to run a center channel. They are well worth every penny.
