GMOS-LAN04 - Radio will not turn off with car!

Hey, everyone. I have a new issue with the GMOS-LAN04. For a few months now, everything has been working - after resolving a plethora of issues. Today out of nowhere, the radio will not turn off when I turn off the ignition and open the drivers door. As a matter of fact, it won't turn off at all unless I actually power off the unit (the 10 minute delay is ignored and would stay on all night). Has anyone else had an issue like this? Thanks!

Today a paid more attention to exactly what was going on. Like I posted above, the radio stays powered even after the keys are out of the ignition and driver's door is opened. The only way for it to turn off is if I actually power down the unit itself. After a few minutes of playing, the headunit stays on but there is no sound. As soon as I open a door the audio comes back. Any help would be appreciated... thanks!

Afraid this is definitely a time to go to a shop and have them check the install.

Not even sure where to begin other than to go back through all of the wiring with a virigin mindset - making no assumptions. Otherwise you could overlook something since 'I know I did it right' enters the brain.

Unfortunately, I'll probably have to do that - hit up a shop. I honestly don't know of any stereo places near me however (NE Indiana) that could help me out. I don't understand how it was working perfectly for a few months and then all of a sudden started acting up.

Weren't you having problems with it last month? I remember responding to someone with the same adapter having a few problems with there's.

I was having issues with a "dead" unit that I received a few months ago.

Can anyone tell me if the windows still functioned after the vehicle was turned off for the 10 minutes or so alongside the radio? I just realized that when my radio stays powered up - when it shouldn't - the windows can still be put up or down. Thanks!

Yeah, but you were having problems as recent as a month ago. Thread Here

In regards to your other question - Here is the info from the owners manual: From the factory, the windows/sunroof/radio keep working for 10 minutes or when any door is opened.

Yes, it's the harness. I really don't care if I lose the chimes and what not. Anyone else hook up aftermarket headunits without a harness?
