The instructions for using the harness with the factory amp are pretty clear, use the RCA connections, not the speaker wires. Is that how you have it wired now?

Heres a thought ...

Maybe stop by a local Stereo Shop .. See what they can do for you ..

Yes, I have it hooked up just as the directions say to do - RCA connections and not the speaker wires.

Thanks again. The pop happens anytime the car has a chime sound - locking the doors, keys in the ignition with the drivers door, etc.

Yeah, still sounds like it is the adapter causing the problem...

Honestly, I'm getting to the point where I too don't care if I lose the chimes and XM. The LAN-04 is terrible. Does the cheaper adapter work more like a normal adapter - you attach all of the speakers to the harnesses speaker cables instead of using the RCAs that the LAN-04 utilizes? Did you have the premium sound?

Yes, it does work like a normal/older adapter as you hook up to the speaker leads. I didn't get the premium as I knew I would be gutting the system after XM expired. Low and behold, on the first day after XM expired I started removing panels. :thumb:
