HHR system build - wall, lots of mids/highs, etc

my "2 12s" build thread was too long and obviously wasn't 2 12's anymore lol, so im starting a new, more organized build thread.

first off, heres one of the amps i ordered for my mids. Lanzar Opti700x2. not sure on performance yet, but i've heard the opti line is good. i needed a HUGE 2ch, and this one does the power i need, 950rms x 2 @ 2 ohm stereo., about 230w per mid :)

if i dont like this, i may sell it and get a Sundown 200.4, which does 950-1000w actual power x 2 @ 2 ohms stereo. not sure yet, but this lanzar is HUGE (compared to my crescendo 4ch amp)

On the back your going to want to put a couple 2x4s going vertically on the back. Otherwise looks pretty good! :thumps up:

you think i should, even with the front of those 2x4s lined with 3/4" birch? i was thinking about it. ill have to play around with the little space i have, still gotta have room for amps, and somehow i need to fit a small airtank and 2 compressors for my bag setup hahaha

Well depends what you do. If you have the subs load against that wall most def add one 2x4 vertically in the far back at least.

makes sense :)

trying to find some cardboard, i wanna get the side trim panels traced out and then cut them out of like 1/4-1/2" wood.

i dont wanna fiberglass like you were going to do, becuase i refuse to "ruin" another car lol... the MINI wall is glassed to all the pillars and stuff, itll never be able to go back to stock, but i dont want it to. but its also a bad daily driver now lol...dont wanna make my hhr a non daily in 3 months and need a 5th car lol!

just asking why are you spending the money on birch instead of mdf cheaper and just as strong. also easy to work with
