The 1Lt i bought recently had a single din aftermarket radio in it that did not sound or work good. Whoever put it in installed a toggle switch where the 12v power outlet was so itvstayed on even when the key was out which i also didnt like. I have my new double din now andvwhen i took out the old radio i found a mess of spliced in and taped in wires. This is a picture of the only harness connector i see. The new radio does come with a speaker wire plug in. My question is should there be another factory connector or is it just the one? Thanks in advance. The PO tells me it was that way when he bought the car in 2011

That appears to be the harness plug for the single din radio you removed, quite the wiring mess! A poster picture for how not to wire in a modern radio .
Crutchfield should have something in the line of directions

Yeah its a mess. Im afraid the installer threw away the factory connector or connectors. Do you know if there are one or two factory connectors?

I believe two , but mine has the Pioneer system so it might be different

Yep two. Looks like ill be making a trip to lkq in the morning for a factory connector. Ive got every thing else from cutchfield

Thanks Don. I figured out that factory is two plugs by looking at the adaptor from crutchfield. The idiot that installed the existing radio must have thrown them away.

Perhaps I'm missing something here.
If you have a new double DIN radio to install, I don't see the point in reinstalling the OEM connectors. Each brand/model of radio or head unit has it's own connectors and the GM OEM connectors won't fit.
You have to cut the existing butchered setup out anyway, so why don't you just connect the new radio connector that came with the new radio to the car wiring.
The color codes are both here and with your new radio.
Soldering the connections along with heatshrink is as good as it gets.
